  1. NYBFW – Wedding Dress Trends
This is the most anticipated bridal fashion event of the year and 2018 did not disappoint. The worlds most renowned designers created magic and we cant wait to see how these are translated to our brides visions for next year.

  2. Thirsty Barman – Alcoholic Soft Serve
And the Thirsty knocks it out the park again!! Alcoholic soft serves are a perfect dessert or canepe treat for a hot summer wedding. Although this service is currently only available in Cape Town, we have it on good authority that it will be making it’s way to Durban soon…YAY!

  3. Welcome Babies
October saw a massive baby boom in the wedding industry and we need to congratulate new mamas : Lauren Meyers (Olivers Twist), Jane Wolff (McCarthy Wolff) + Kristi Smith (Kristi Smith).
The world is so much sweeter and my overies again doing flick flacks with all the cuteness you 3 have produced! Well done mama-bears, enjoy every moment of your maternity leave with your sweet babes.
  4. Distillery031 – Scarlet Gin
On Wednesday we drink pink…GIN that is! The clever folk over at Distillery 031 have created the most gorgeous, bright and vibrant scarlette Gin, and what makes it even better, is that it’s the most awarded gin in South Africa and the world’s only gin made with Cascara (coffee cherries). It has won gold medals in New York, San Francisco and London. Needless to say, we cant wait to get our hands on a bottle!

  5. Fitch & Leeds – Blue Gin + Tonic
The latest trend in the G+T world is the gorgeous new BLUE tonic from Fitch + Leeds. This refreshing blueberry flavoured tonic water is the perfect accompaniment to your floral gin and is super handsome to boot! Summer just got so much brighter!
We are hoping they will bring out a sugar free version soon, nothing better than a guilt free G+T.

  6. LaBelle Donna by CHOSEN– Curves are IN!
Gone are the days of curvy brides having to don the typical “big girl” wedding dress. Chosen has broken the design barriers and brought elegance, sexiness and class to girls who embrace every inch of their gorgeous bodies. Although an international brand, they ship all over the world.

  7. Durban Food Truck – FudArt by Nardia
This little baby arrived on my radar when my friend Laura had a catering crisis. A quick search on the gram brought up this bad boy and we see that Nardia has already been serving many a wedding in the heart of Durbs and all over!I love how couples are steering away from the traditional and bringing in elements of fun to their wedding day. Who needs a sit down, classic, three course meal when you can grab something fresh and fun?

  8. Royal Wedding – Eugenie + Jack
Two royal weddings in one year, could things get any better? Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank really had a rock ‘n roll guest list and a party that we wish we could have crashed. Our favourite element from this special day? The way Princess Eugenie paid tribute to the doctors who fixed her childhood scoliosis by designing her wedding dress to show off her scar:“I had an operation when I was 12 on my back, and you’ll see on Friday [at the wedding], but it’s a lovely way to honour the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this,” “I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it’s really special to stand up for that.”
