November Wrap Up

So we know this is late, like really late, Like a week into December late.
But, we all know how life gets. And with the excitement of Black Friday and our current competition, 12 Days of Christmas, (if you haven’t already entered, click here to have a look at what its all about), we got caught up and realised a little too late that November was finished and klaar!

Here are the things that caught our eye in November…

  1. KFC Proposal
Guys, this really made us tear up! Not just the proposal, but to see how the people of South Africa came together to support the couple. Hector and Nonhlanhla got engaged at their local KFC, and someone captured the moment on video. Once KFC got a hold of the video, they shared it on their Twitter account and started a wave of donations from all sorts of companies and big names in South Africa. What we would like to know is, how do we get an invite to the “Royal” wedding of SA?

  2. Hanri Human got engaged!
One of South Africa’s most sought after Photographers got engaged to the man of her dreams! Hanri and Donovan got engaged in the Karoo and if their engagement is anything to go by, then their wedding is going to be the most amazing celebration! 3. Disney Bachelorette
So while the boys were “away”, the girls went playing!
Our lovely South African Rugby wives and girlfriends went to Tokyo Disney Resort to celebrate Saskia’s Bachelorette while in Japan supporting the boys. All I have to say is I am VERY jealous and would like a bachelorette do-over 😉

  4. “Lover” themed wedding
Okay, Christy and I are major Taylor Swift fans (not quite Swifties, but definitely fans!) and we are crushing hard on her new song Lover. So when we saw this wedding, we just had to share it! Erin would label herself a HUGE Swiftie, and even got engaged at a Taylor Swift concert! So no surprise, she had a Lover Themed wedding! Best of all, when Erin tweeted a video of her and her hubby’s first dance to, you guessed it, LOVER! Taylor saw it and decided to congratulate them with a tweet!

  5. The Paris proposal which caught Ellen’s eye
So you might recognise these amazing shots as we shared them on our Instagram page a while back. Kate Austin and Sarah Sulsenti got engaged in Paris and we loved the picture perfect shots, but we were saddened to hear that unfortunately, not all of their family members were supportive of their upcoming nuptials. As always, Ellen de Generes lent a helping hand by surprising them with flying in family to celebrate their engagement with them as well as $25,000 towards their big day.

  6. Kerriden’s Baby Girl
The Hooray Family grew by one as Kerriden and Trevor welcomed their baby girl, Lillie Alice Anne Clayton into the world on the 16th of November – congrats guys!
Kerriden is currently soaking up all the newborn snuggles and will be on maternity leave until next year. We hope you cherish every moment of this special time Kerriden!

So that’s a wrap for November!
